Repair Grub after installing BT 5 and Dreamlinux

Now I will share my experience in dealing with the missing grub after installing Backtrack 5 and Dreamlinux.

just on the subject.
booting linux you use the Live CD.
after logging on linux, you don´t install.
here you need to know the mount point of the partition llinux.

my dreamlinux use ext2 with dev/sda1 media.
Now, open your console and type this command:

mount-t ext2 / dev/sda1 / / mnt / [ENTER]
mount-t ext2 proc proc / mnt / proc / [ENTER]
mount-t ext2 sysfs sys / mnt / sys / [ENTER]
mount-o bind / dev / / mnt / dev / [ENTER]
chroot / mnt / / bin / bash [ENTER]
grub-install / dev / sda / [ENTER]
You will see the message ¨installing success.no error reported¨

Now, restart your computer. remove the Live CD, let your computer boot normally.
after entering the grub, select your linux.
open a terminal and type:

loner_182 @ dream: ~ $ sudo update-grub
restart again and you will see your windows in Grub.

sorry if there are still shortcomings.
I am still learning.

okay.
good luck.
